The journey to success cannot be broadly defined. It comes in many forms and is obtained in many ways. While some of us may be successful, for many of our fellow AAPI members in the community, their definition of success is yet to come.
The journey has been tough, only made hopeful by those who support us along the way.
Encouragements have been given.
Barriers have been shattered.
Doors have been opened.
That is why we understand that we are more powerful when we have the right support around us. More things are possible when we support one another.
This Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, let us not only remember those that have opened doors for us, but that our unique stories are also opening doors for others. Let us celebrate the success and the support, and most importantly, celebrate what’s possible.
How will you celebrate? Join the conversation, hear and learn from others’ stories, and share YOUR #IAmStory via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+, and YouTube with the hashtag #IAmStory.
CAPE (The Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) brings you the 5th season of the I Am Campaign. The I Am Campaign brings you stories of trailblazers, people of influence, and future difference makers, sharing their stories and inspirations. Made possible by the generous support of U.S. Bank, engage in stories from Albert Cheng, Nisha Ganatra, Ally Maki, Apolo Ohno and Tzi Ma as they share their triumphs and successes. New stories will be posted throughout the month!
Since 1991, CAPE has championed diversity by educating, connecting, and empowering Asian American & Pacific Islander artists and leaders through entertainment and media. We create systemic change by training the next generation of artists and leaders through our signature writing and executive fellowships in TV, Film, and Digital. Please join the cause at capeusa.org.
